SHIPPING POLICY
SHIPPING POLICY – SCOTT AND DAUGHTERS
Last updated: 17 March 2026
At Scott and Daughters, we want your order to be handled clearly, carefully and as efficiently as possible.
This Shipping Policy explains how orders placed through www.scottanddaughters.com are processed, dispatched, tracked and delivered to customers in Australia.
Scott and Daughters is a business registered in the United States. Some orders are fulfilled directly through international suppliers and fulfilment centres, including facilities located outside Australia.
Nothing in this Shipping Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
1. SHIPPING WITHIN AUSTRALIA
We currently offer delivery to customers throughout Australia.
Unless otherwise clearly stated at checkout:
Standard shipping within Australia is free.
There is no minimum order value required to qualify for standard free shipping.
If we offer an optional expedited or alternative shipping service for an additional charge, the applicable cost will be clearly shown before you complete your purchase.
2. ORDER PROCESSING
After you place an order, please allow approximately 1–3 business days for processing before dispatch.
During processing, we may:
-
verify your order details;
-
confirm payment;
-
check shipping information;
-
allocate the product to the relevant fulfilment location;
-
perform applicable product or order checks; and
-
prepare the order for shipment.
Business days generally exclude weekends and applicable public holidays.
During particularly busy periods, including:
-
major sales;
-
promotional events;
-
public holidays;
-
seasonal peaks; and
-
periods of unusually high demand,
processing may take slightly longer.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will normally receive a shipping confirmation containing available tracking information.
3. ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIME
After your order has been processed and dispatched, standard delivery to Australia generally takes approximately:
7–14 business days from the date of shipment.
Please note that this is an estimated delivery timeframe rather than a guaranteed delivery date.
The processing period described above is separate from the delivery timeframe.
For example, an order may require 1–3 business days of processing before the estimated 7–14 business day shipping period begins.
Actual delivery times may vary depending on:
-
your delivery location;
-
the fulfilment location;
-
the shipping carrier;
-
international transportation;
-
customs or border processing;
-
local courier handovers;
-
severe weather;
-
public holidays;
-
peak shipping periods; and
-
unexpected logistics disruptions.
Where we become aware of a material delay affecting your order, we will make reasonable efforts to provide you with updated information.
If we cannot supply your order within an agreed timeframe or otherwise within a reasonable time, we will work with you on an appropriate solution in accordance with applicable law.
4. INTERNATIONAL FULFILMENT AND DIRECT SUPPLIER SHIPPING
Scott and Daughters uses international fulfilment partners and suppliers.
Instead of first shipping every product to a Scott and Daughters facility and then forwarding it to Australia, some products may be sent directly from the supplier or fulfilment centre to you.
These facilities may be located outside Australia, including in China and other international locations.
Direct fulfilment helps reduce unnecessary handling and allows orders to begin their journey to the customer without first being transported through an additional warehouse.
As a result:
-
your parcel may originate outside Australia;
-
international tracking may be used;
-
several carriers may be involved in the same delivery;
-
the international carrier shown initially may differ from the local carrier that completes delivery in Australia; and
-
tracking may not update at every stage of the journey.
Using a third-party supplier, fulfilment partner or carrier does not remove any responsibility Scott and Daughters has to customers under applicable Australian law.
5. SHIPPING CARRIERS
Depending on the product, fulfilment location and delivery address, your order may travel through:
-
international shipping partners;
-
postal networks;
-
local Australian couriers; or
-
Australia Post, where applicable.
An international carrier may transport your parcel to Australia before transferring it to a local delivery partner for final delivery.
The carrier responsible for the final stage of delivery may therefore differ from the carrier originally shown in your tracking information.
6. TRACKING YOUR ORDER
Once tracking becomes available, you will normally receive an email containing:
-
your order number; and
-
a tracking link or tracking number.
You can use this information to follow the progress of your shipment.
Please be aware that tracking information does not always update immediately after dispatch.
A parcel may already be moving through the shipping network before the carrier registers its first visible scan.
International parcels are also not necessarily scanned at every transit point, so there may occasionally be several days between tracking updates.
A temporary lack of tracking updates does not necessarily mean that your parcel has stopped moving or has been lost.
7. SPLIT SHIPMENTS
In some cases, an order containing multiple items may be shipped in more than one parcel.
This may happen because:
-
products are stocked at different fulfilment locations;
-
different suppliers fulfil different products;
-
one item requires additional processing; or
-
splitting the shipment allows part of your order to be dispatched sooner.
If your order is split into multiple shipments, you may receive separate tracking information for each parcel.
This also means that items purchased in the same order may arrive on different days.
You will not be charged additional standard shipping fees simply because we choose to split an order into multiple parcels.
8. POSSIBLE SHIPPING DELAYS
Occasionally, delivery may take longer than the estimated timeframe.
Possible causes include:
-
unusually high carrier volumes;
-
customs or border processing;
-
severe weather;
-
transportation disruptions;
-
public holidays;
-
peak sale periods;
-
remote delivery locations;
-
incorrect or incomplete address information;
-
local courier delays; or
-
other unexpected logistics events.
Where a delay occurs, it does not automatically mean that the parcel has been lost.
If your shipment takes longer than expected, please contact us at:
Please include:
-
your name;
-
your order number; and
-
the email address used to place the order.
We will review the available tracking information and, where appropriate, follow up with the relevant shipping or fulfilment partner.
9. ORDERS TAKING LONGER THAN EXPECTED
If your order has passed its estimated delivery timeframe, please contact us.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
-
review the latest tracking information;
-
contact the shipping carrier;
-
contact our fulfilment partner;
-
open a shipment investigation;
-
request additional delivery information; or
-
provide another appropriate solution.
If we know that we are unable to supply an order within the agreed timeframe or otherwise within a reasonable time, we will provide an appropriate solution in accordance with applicable Australian law.
We will not rely solely on a carrier or fulfilment provider to avoid responsibilities that apply to Scott and Daughters as the seller.
10. TRACKING HAS NOT UPDATED
International tracking can occasionally remain unchanged for several days while a parcel travels between major transit locations.
This can happen when:
-
the parcel is transported between countries;
-
the parcel is waiting for its next carrier scan;
-
tracking systems between international and local carriers have not yet synchronised; or
-
the parcel is undergoing customs or logistics processing.
If tracking has remained unchanged for an unusual length of time, please contact us.
Where appropriate, we may request an investigation from the carrier or fulfilment partner.
Carrier investigations can take several business days depending on the circumstances and carrier involved.
We will continue to assist you while the shipment is being investigated.
11. CUSTOMS, GST AND IMPORT CHARGES
Orders may be fulfilled from outside Australia.
Prices and charges displayed to Australian consumers will be presented in accordance with applicable Australian pricing laws.
Where Scott and Daughters is required to collect Australian GST or another mandatory charge as part of the transaction, this will be handled as required by applicable law.
Depending on the nature and value of an international shipment, customs duties, import charges, government fees or carrier processing charges may apply in some circumstances.
Where additional unavoidable charges are known and required to be disclosed or included in the advertised total price, we will do so in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in this Shipping Policy is intended to transfer to the customer a tax, duty, charge or liability that Scott and Daughters is legally required to bear.
12. PLEASE CHECK YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information when placing an order.
Before completing your purchase, please check:
-
the recipient's full name;
-
street name;
-
house or apartment number;
-
suburb or city;
-
state or territory;
-
postcode;
-
country; and
-
telephone number where requested.
If you notice an error after placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible at:
Please include your order number and the correct delivery information.
13. ADDRESS CHANGES
Because orders can enter our fulfilment system quickly, address changes are not always possible after an order has been placed.
We recommend submitting any change request within 6 hours of placing your order.
Requests made within this period have the best chance of being completed, but we cannot guarantee an address change if the order has already entered processing.
Once an order has:
-
entered advanced fulfilment;
-
been packed;
-
been transferred for shipment; or
-
been dispatched,
we may no longer be able to modify the delivery address.
If we identify an address that appears incomplete or cannot be verified before dispatch, we may temporarily pause the order and contact you to confirm or correct the information.
This is intended to prevent avoidable delivery problems.
14. INCORRECT OR INCOMPLETE ADDRESSES
An incorrect or incomplete delivery address may cause:
-
processing delays;
-
delivery delays;
-
failed delivery attempts;
-
collection-point delivery;
-
additional carrier charges; or
-
the parcel being returned to the sender or fulfilment facility.
If the delivery problem resulted from incorrect information supplied by the customer, reasonable additional shipping or redelivery costs may apply where permitted by law.
If the delivery problem resulted from an error by Scott and Daughters or another party for whose actions we are legally responsible, the customer will not be charged for correcting that error.
15. UNCLAIMED, REFUSED OR RETURN-TO-SENDER PARCELS
A parcel may be returned to the sender or fulfilment facility if:
-
the delivery address is incorrect or incomplete;
-
delivery attempts are unsuccessful;
-
the customer does not collect the parcel from a pickup location within the carrier's specified timeframe; or
-
the customer refuses delivery.
Once the parcel has been returned and identified, we will review the available options with you.
Depending on the circumstances, you may choose to:
-
have the order resent, where possible; or
-
request an eligible refund in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Where the failed delivery resulted from circumstances within the customer's control, reasonable actual costs associated with return-to-sender processing or reshipping may apply where permitted by law.
Where the delivery failure was caused by Scott and Daughters or by circumstances for which we are legally responsible, those costs will not be passed on to you.
16. ORDERS READY FOR PICKUP
In some cases, a local carrier may direct your parcel to a post office, parcel collection point or other pickup location.
Tracking information will normally indicate:
-
the collection location;
-
the collection deadline; and
-
any identification or instructions required by the carrier.
Please collect the parcel within the timeframe specified by the carrier.
If a parcel is not collected before the deadline, the carrier may return it to the sender or fulfilment facility.
If you are having difficulty locating or collecting your parcel, please contact us and we will assist where reasonably possible.
17. TRACKING SHOWS “DELIVERED” BUT YOU CANNOT FIND THE PARCEL
If the carrier marks your parcel as delivered but you cannot locate it, please first check:
-
the delivery address shown in your order;
-
around your property or any designated safe delivery location;
-
with other members of your household;
-
with neighbours, where appropriate;
-
your building reception or mailroom, if applicable; and
-
any collection point mentioned in the tracking information.
You may also check the latest tracking information for a delivery photograph, safe-drop location or carrier instructions where available.
If you still cannot locate the parcel, please contact us at:
We will review the circumstances and, where appropriate, contact the carrier or open a delivery investigation.
A carrier's “delivered” scan will be considered as part of our review, but we will assess the available delivery information and circumstances before determining the appropriate next step.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not excluded by a tracking status alone.
18. LOST OR MISSING PARCELS
If tracking indicates that a parcel may have been lost during transit, we may open an investigation with the relevant carrier or fulfilment partner.
During an investigation, we may:
-
contact the carrier;
-
review tracking and delivery records;
-
obtain information from our fulfilment partner; and
-
keep you informed of material updates.
Shipping investigations can take several business days depending on the carrier and circumstances.
If the parcel is confirmed lost, or if we otherwise determine that the order cannot be supplied within the applicable timeframe, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with your rights and the circumstances.
This may include a replacement shipment, refund or another agreed solution.
19. DAMAGED PARCELS OR PRODUCTS
If your parcel or product arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
To help us assess the issue, please provide clear photographs of:
-
the outer packaging;
-
the shipping label;
-
the internal packaging; and
-
the damaged product.
Please also include your order number and a brief description of the damage.
Where possible, notifying us of visible shipping damage promptly helps us investigate the issue with the carrier.
Any remedy will be handled in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy and applicable Australian Consumer Law.
20. ORDER CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS
We begin processing orders quickly after they are placed.
If you wish to:
-
cancel your order;
-
change the delivery address;
-
change a size or colour; or
-
make another order adjustment,
please contact us as soon as possible at:
We recommend submitting cancellation or amendment requests within 6 hours of placing the order.
However, this is not a guarantee that the order can still be changed.
Once an order has entered advanced processing, been packed or been transferred for shipment, it may no longer be operationally possible to stop or modify it.
If an order can no longer be cancelled before dispatch, you may contact us after receiving it to request a return under our 30-day voluntary Returns & Refunds Policy, where eligible.
Nothing in this section limits any cancellation, refund or other rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
21. MADE-TO-ORDER OR SPECIAL-PROCESSING PRODUCTS
Where a product requires a longer production or processing period, this will be stated on the relevant product page before purchase.
Any additional processing time disclosed for that product applies before the standard delivery timeframe begins.
Products requiring special production or customisation may also be subject to different change-of-mind return conditions where clearly disclosed before purchase.
This does not affect remedies available for products that fail to comply with applicable Australian consumer guarantees.
22. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Scott and Daughters is registered outside Australia but offers products directly to customers in Australia.
Where Australian Consumer Law applies, your statutory rights remain available regardless of:
-
the country from which your parcel is shipped;
-
the location of our supplier;
-
the location of our fulfilment centre;
-
the shipping carrier used; or
-
Scott and Daughters being registered outside Australia.
Nothing in this Shipping Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
